The THSO is proud to share our Accessible Parking Service that will be available to patrons for all concerts at Tilson Auditorium on the campus of Indiana State University.

Parking reservations are now open for The Gift of Music on December 7, 2024.

Reservations close at 5pm on Friday December 6.

What is Accessible Parking Service (APS)?

Concert-goers with mobility issues will be able to reserve a parking spot for free in the Visitor Lot located at 7th Street and Larry Bird Avenue on the campus of Indiana State University prior to a Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra concert at Tilson Auditorium. Golf carts will run before and after the concert to transport patrons to and from their cars in the Visitor Lot and the accessible elevator entry at Tilson Auditorium.  There are 34 parking spots available for patrons with accessibility needs. You do not need to have a handicap parking pass to reserve a spot.

When will APS run?

The Visitor Lot and golf cart service will open at 4:30pm before a concert at Tilson Auditorium and remain open for reserved arrivals until 7pm. At 7pm, the lot will open to the public and golf cart service will stop. Supper at the Symphony begins at 5:30pm and the concert begins at 7:30pm. After the concert, golf carts will be stationed at the accessible elevator entry of Tilson Auditorium and run 9pm to 10:30pm.

How do I reserve a parking space in the Visitor Lot at 7th and Larry Bird Avenue?

The idea for this service was suggested by a beloved former board member, Bob Brown, who passed away in June 2024. We are thrilled to bring his idea to fruition and continue helping our patrons enjoy Great Music. Close to Home! Thank you Bob!
