THSO Names Nicole Brattain King Operations Manager
[Terre Haute, IN] – The Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra (THSO) is excited to announce Nicole Brattain King as the new Operations Manager for the organization. The position is new to the THSO staff as the orchestra continues to grow and develop. King will primarily assist with day-to-day operations in the office plus concert and education program logistics.
King is a life-long resident of Terre Haute and has been a long-time fan of the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra. “My parents have been THSO season ticket holders for many years and instilled a love of music in me at an early age. I have always felt that Terre Haute is so very fortunate to have such a wonderful symphony in our community. I am excited to join the THSO team as the new Operations Manager and look forward to working with Sammy (Samantha Johnson-Helms, Executive Director) and David (Bowden, Artistic Director) to further promote and strengthen the THSO’s presence in the Wabash Valley.”
King has extensive marketing and communications expertise in both the non-profit and private sectors. She has a wide variety of marketing experience including internal and external communications, event management, community engagement, media relations and publicity strategies, along with connections to many local community organizations.

King is a graduate of DePauw University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. Nicole and her husband, Mike, have three adult children: Tyler, Madison and Abigail. Along with being an enthusiastic supporter of the local arts community, Nicole is an avid sports fan and enjoys watching classic movies with her husband. She is also a lover of all things British and thinks that Queen Elizabeth II is amazing! When not spending time with her family and friends, Nicole can be found reading, taking a walk or working on one of her many jigsaw puzzles.
