Presented by members of the THSO
In preparation for the THSO’s concert Brahms & Rachmaninoff featuring Drew Petersen on April 30, 2022, members of the THSO will present an overview of historical and contextual information about concert repertoire. Award-winning, charismatic and immensely talented Drew Petersen takes the stage to perform Rachmaninoff’s Second Piano Concerto, considered by many to be the world’s favorite piano concerto. The concert opens with a favorite work composed by Dan Powers, the THSO’s composer-in-residence, and concludes with Brahms’ astonishingly powerful first symphony.
Presentation will be presented via Zoom but attendees will be able to attend an in-person presentation through OLLI. Registration available for Osher Lifelong Learning Institute members. Learn more about OLLI at https://www.indstate.edu/community-engagement/olli.
